Newlands is the quiet valley west of Keswick, running from the Derwent around to Buttermere over Newlands Hause. Farms, a tiny church at Little Town — Swallows and Amazons country — and ridges on both sides (Catbells–Maiden Moor–High Spy, and Causey Pike–Scar Crags).
It is one of the best places to walk all day and barely see a car park.
Dale Head, Hindscarth and Robinson — a grand circuit from Little Town.
