University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay's Kendal hospital: planned surgery, maternity, outpatient clinics and the south-lakes Urgent Treatment Centre. It is the main hospital for Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal and much of the central and southern Lake District.
The on-site Urgent Treatment Centre treats many injuries and illnesses that are urgent but not immediately life-threatening. Life-threatening emergencies may be taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary or Furness General Hospital.
